The president of Milwaukee-based Marcus Corp.'s hotels division is resigning less than a year after joining the company. Kirk A. Rose, president of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, "is leaving to pursue an opportunity to return to his roots in finance as the chief financial officer of a family office based in Chicago," according to a company statement issued Tuesday. Rose joined Marcus in January. During the search for Rose's replacement, Thomas F. Kissinger, senior executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, will lead Marcus Hotels & Resorts. In addition, William H. Reynolds Jr., senior managing director of MCS Capital LLC, Marcus Corp.'s hotel investment affiliate, will add oversight of all hotel development activities to his responsibilities. Our team has deep bench strength and I am confident we will continue to successfully operate and grow our highly regarded hotel and resort business," said Gregory Marcus, president and CEO, in a statement. "While we would have preferred to have Kirk remain with us for many years, the contributions he has made will have a lasting impact on the company."
